Engaging Art: Political Satire in Illustrations

John Holcroft is one of the most esteemed British illustrators. Starting his way learning graphic design in the 90s, Holcroft was quickly drawn into the world of illustration. He attributes his inspiration to old commercials, packaging and newspapers from the 1950s, but his illustrations tend to have a modern message in mind, that contains some sharp statements regarding modern western culture.

His illustrations raise some interesting questions regarding capitalism, technology, obesity, health, work and welfare.
