Welcome to the Catskills Mountain Range, a picturesque landscape of forests, hills, and wildlife, stretching across 700,000 acres, almost the entirety of which is made up of protected forests. A part of the much larger Appalachian mountain range alongside the Adirondack, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and many others, this particular dissected plateau can be found in Southeastern New York. Its many hiking and climbing trails, as well as reservoirs, streams, and waterfalls make it an excellent destination for family trips, treks, and other fun activities.
