Spooky Eyeball Spaghetti

Halloween is here and so are all the treats that come with it. There are so many sweet and savory foods inspired by this time of year that you can easily make yourself, and they are perfect to prepare for costume parties, dinner parties, or simply as treats for those who threaten you with a trick! This year, bring some spookiness to your kitchen by preparing this Halloween-inspired dish to celebrate a horror-filled day.

Ingredients for dish:
Spaghetti - 1 16 oz. package (Spaghettini works as well)
Food coloring - as needed (orange and purple)
Black olives - 12, pitted
Green olives - 12, pitted
Olive oil - 1/4 cup, 1 tbsp.
Italian seasoning - 1/4 tsp.
Garlic powder - 1/4 tsp.
Salt and Pepper - as needed
Mozzarella - 12 balls

Ingredients for edible googly eyes:
Powdered sugar - 1 cup
Cornstarch - 1 tsp.
Corn syrup - 1 tbsp.
1% milk - 1 tsp. (vegan mils also works)
Vanilla Extract - 1/4 tsp.
Chocolate chips - as needed (vegan works as well)
Ingredients for spiders:
Icing sugar - as needed (black is best)

Halloweeño Jalapeño Popper Mummies

These jalapeño popper mummies are the perfect addition to your Halloween party table spread! The spiciness may sound intimidating as the next ghost, but it goes well with the cheese and the dough. Are you brave enough for them?

Ingredients for mummies:
Jalapeño - 10 (Slices lengthwise and seeded)
Cream cheese - 8 oz.
Monterey Jack cheese - 8 oz. (shredded)
Scallion - 1 (chopped)
Salt - as needed
Eggs - 2 (beaten)
